Ailyn graduated from Princeton University with a Bachelors in Civil and Environmental Engineering in 2018. After that, she served with the Peace Corps in Panama as a Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene volunteer working to improve rural aqueduct systems in a small indigenous village. She is participating in the Indigenous Food, Energy & Water Security and Sovereignty (Indige-FEWSS) NSF traineeship. In her free time she likes to cook, bake, and paint, as well as explore her surroundings, whether that is city, jungle, or desert.
Ailyn is working on examining the performance of nanofiltration membranes in our mobile solar nanofiltration unit under different operating conditions and water chemistries.
