Undergraduate Students

carolineshults@arizona.edu

Caroline is an undergraduate majoring in Environmental Science and minoring in Environmental Engineering. She is a member of the pre-professional fraternity Epsilon Eta, Tau Chapter, and is in the Peace Corp Prep program. Outside of school, Caroline enjoys running and rock climbing around Tucson. She is very passionate about the environment itself. Being involved in traveling, engaging in outdoor activities, volunteering, and creating programs that raise awareness about environmental issues are just some ways she shows appreciation of what the world has to offer. She worked in expanding environmental education as a Bio/Diversity Project intern through WISE and is currently doing an independent study with Dr. Pamela Pelletier for K-12 dendrochronology curriculum. Some of her aspirations are to serve in the Peace Corp or Engineers without Borders and potentially pursue a masters or PhD in Environmental Engineering.

Currently she is a research intern under PhD student McKenna Dunmyer working to interpret the adsorption properties and characteristics via chemically modified wafers for the treatment of PFAS contaminated water.
