Irbis is an Honors College student pursuing an Environmental Engineering Bachelors. Irbis is on the executive board of Engineers Without Borders and the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers. She is working with Dr. Blowers on calculating the Global Warming Potentials of different chemicals released into the atmosphere and in the KORES lab on remediation of various types of PFAS in water. In the summer of 2022, Irbis worked as a Water Engineer Intern in an engineering consultant company.
