Lynn Carroll

Lynn Carroll is a third-year doctoral student in Environmental Engineering in the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering at the University of Arizona. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Biosystems Engineering from the University of Arizona and is certified as an Engineer in Training (EIT). Her professional experience includes internships with Carollo Engineers and Hazen and Sawyer, as well as ongoing involvement with Engineers Without Borders.

Lynn conducts her research in the KORES lab under the direction of Dr. Karanikola. Her team’s work focuses on household-scale water treatment technologies for remote communities, with an emphasis on performance challenges associated with intermittently operated systems. This research is community-driven and undertaken in collaboration with Monument Valley residents, Diné College, and the Intermountain West Transformation Network. A native Arizonan, Lynn is committed to advancing safe and sustainable drinking water solutions for communities across the state via research and outreach.
